The glasses are much more difficult to detect than someone holding up a phone to record. Will the glasses always look super obvious? The old Google ones were ginormous, I don’t know if I would recognize the FB ones in the wild.

You can generally tell when a phone camera is pointed in your general direction within a reasonable range. It’s uncommon enough for people to do this in public outside of large crowds (concerts, sporting events, etc) that avoiding those situations isn’t an undue burden. With the glasses, can you tell whether they’re recording or do you just have to assume that they’re always recording?

This is a non trivial escalation and I will definitely shun and or shame anyone I encounter with this trash tech.

I just saw a US Department of Justice report that 1 in 3 women are stalked in their lifetime. People with immigration issues are getting disappeared to concentration camps. US prisons are notoriously inhumane and people on parole can get violated for trivial reasons. The failure to understand that there are people who will feel seriously threatened by getting recorded without consent is just frustratingly ignorant.

Yeah, there are a million security cameras everywhere but at least it is mostly just ignored and not an issue until law enforcement is actively looking for you (IDK what kind of Palantir evil is happening on the back end but that’s a whole nother issue). Social media is super random and chaotic. Why take the risk that your life will get blown up because you happened by a viral moment?

People with legal issues, immigration issues or violent exes will absolutely dip if they see someone recording. I have none of these problems and I will always avoid gettIng recorded by randos if it’s easy to do so. I can’t reasonably avoid every Ring cam in my neighborhood but I will happily slide 10 feet to the left to avoid becoming collateral damage in some dbags insta reel.

This may be perfectly legal but it is absolutely a dick move and people will HATE you for it. The are so many scenarios where perfectly reasonable people will find this behavior extremely unsettling, at best, and possibly threatening.

Now, might doesn’t make right, but are you right? Going against social norms and risking extrajudicial retaliation to fight injustice is commendable. That’s kinda the point I was making. The meme says “these guys kept child sex slaves”. Someone responds that Clinton didn’t have the same level of involvement as Trump and Epstein. Someone else responded “they want to believe their guy is good”. My response is basically “saying that he isn’t a pimp isn’t saying that he’s good”.

There are different levels of evil. All should be dealt with. Maybe the worst (the pimps, traffickers, ringleaders and financiers) should get priority, especially if they pose a greater threat to everyone else? Pointing that out is in no way excusing the lesser evil.

I haven’t seen anyone in this thread saying anything positive about Clinton. At most, a few folks have pointed out that we haven’t seen any rape accusations against Clinton in the files. I doubt that you’ll find anyone here who doesn’t want this whole mess properly investigated and for all of the guilty parties to get appropriate punishment.

I’m worried about the implications that the child sex ring was a honeypot that was supported by multiple intelligence agencies. Yeah, the Clintons have done absolutely terrible things. I would never claim otherwise. I don’t remember the Clinton administration very well but I don’t doubt that he’s a war criminal.

There is a world of room between “good” and “ran a child sex trafficking ring”. Clinton may be a POS for many reasons and he may have visited Epstine island and maybe even raped children (we don’t know at this point but anyone in the flight logs is sus). That is all absolutely terrible but it’s still very different than kidnapping 10’s or hundreds of children to rape and pimp. And the files seem to indicate that Trump was actively involved in this scheme for decades.

Most of the founding father owned slaves. Raping slaves was not an uncommon practice at the time and there were no restrictions on the appropriate age of the slaves one rapes. Thomas Jefferson may have started his “relationship” with Sally Hemming when she was 14.

I think it would take a decent effort to get clear proof about the founding fathers raping child slaves, but it is known that they owned slaves and many had illegitimate children with slaves and raping child slaves was a common practice at the time so I think it’s a strong possibility.

Could you make a double or quadruple sauce recipe and freeze it? Making a bigger batch of bolognese doesn’t take significantly more time and then you can quickly reheat portions and boil the pasta for a quick weeknight meal. If you brown the meat then that would add extra time since you would need to brown one portion of meat at a time, since it will steam rather than brown if you overcrowd the pan.

Although, not for the reasons you listed. Having a huge hit that leans heavily on an obvious sample of an older hit song isn’t necessarily awful. But the guy writes corny shit, is a terrible rapper and is just not very talented. He built an empire off of surrounding himself with amazingly talented people and exploiting them in the worst possible ways.

Too bad the genius, job creators couldn’t have possibly foreseen this outcome before giving financial and algorithmic support to a malicious, compromised, demented, fool. The image above shows that it was rated R, so not a family movie. IDK, that kinda makes it worse in a way? If it were PG then there wouldn’t be any nudity. And a PG movie could be intended for actual teenagers. A rated R movie is primarily for an 18+ audience, so these girls were definitely being marketed to the adult male gaze.
