Popular people in my experience are genuinely nice people, which makes sense because who doesn’t want to know more nice people

Sorry if it looked otherwise, I was agreeing to BCsven. I agree with you
Yea like the default is smart? How is it supposed to know if that’s critical or not at that point? The alternative is for it to silently fail and wait for something else to break instead of failing gracefully? I feel like I’m growing more and more petty and matching the language of systemd haters but like just think about it for a few minutes???
Buddy lay off the Rick and Morty and take a shower
“I’m not in the same universe as you!!!” Get a grip
I feel like anyone who genuinely has a strong opinion on this and isn’t actively developing something related has too much time on their hands ricing their desktop and needs to get a job

linuxmemes@lemmy.world•Do you forget that you need to update your system?
2·2 years agoYeah, systemd-init. Pretty sure the GUI installer uses systemd-init – never broke once for me.
Yup, figuring out how to install gcc 10 was a pain. Turns out I needed stdenvgcc10, but how would I have known that without reading like the entirety of nix pills? I don’t want to read a manual for 2 hours to figure out how to do something basic. Not to mention nix pills is SO dense that as someone who can’t learn from textbooks, its impossible.
