Why they drive so slow? It can be very frustrating going anywhere in our hood to run errands during business hours.

Mentally, definitely not. I’m perpetually 25. Im waiting to act like a grown up.
Physically, I’m doing ok because I’ve worked on my fitness levels in recent years. Still when I pull a muscle, it hurts harder and longer now.
That sounds fishy to me. Does the receipt say there’s a limit on returns for each day? Usually it’s pretty black and white, can return for change of mind in X days from purchase.
What if they just came back the next day and did the return then?
I had a similar upbringing. Wog parents mentality is to do everything for their kids, even into adulthood; especially for sons. I really didn’t learn much day-to-day life skills living at home. At the time I hated this, especially comparing myself to more independent people in my life.
Moving out of home came with a sharp learning curve to care for myself, but i think I can say with confidence now that I am very self-sufficient. You will learn the skills you need when you need to, you are not “behind”, and honestly I miss my parents doing stuff for me because now I spend a lot of my non-work time doing chores. Cooking, cleaning, laundry, grocery shopping, gardening and more. I don’t really enjoy doing any of it - I like to keep a clean home, eat good food and have a nice-looking garden and that’s stressful, it’s a lot for one person especially.

101·5 days agoSo tired today. I can literally feel my body entering hibernation mode with our darker, drearier mornings. Will to get out of bed this morning was non-existent.
And I have a psych appointment later today and have to talk about my feelings, zero motivation for this. Wish I could cancel but they charge a penalty, so I must go.
Relationship goals 🙌
Congrats!
My alarms do this from time to time (like once or twice a year) and I have no idea why. Maybe they’re programmed to test once in a while? Extremely loud as well. I’ve learned to go straight for my noise cancelling headphones. Then turn off. Scares your crap out of me if they go off while I’m sleeping.
Objectively it has to be The Room, but what makes it so bad also makes it great.
Thank you for hosting! Great meeting everyone.
Oh my god it was honestly SOOO GOOD
(it was ok, not worth the hour wait from lining up to getting the food)
I’m waiting in line at this new viral sandwich place near where I’m working from today. The line was shorter than the vids I’ve seen of giant lines at this place, but it is moving kinda slow. I’ve commited now, gotta see it through. I usually refuse to wait in lines for food places and will choose the quicker option, I’ve remembered why today. Better be worth it.
I’ve had the Woolworths and Aldi skewers, they’re not as great as homemade and the chicken isn’t like a pure cut of breast or anything, but I sometimes buy as a good quick meal in a pinch. What flavour did you have?
Glad you’re back to normal, hope you’re out of the hospital soon.
I dream of having a house with a statement curved staircase like this, that I descend to my guests watching my grand entrance below.

7·13 days agoAnother presso for maketing today, 4th time delivering the same content. You’d think I’d be less nervous by now. Reminding myself I know more about the presso topic than anyone in the room so it doesn’t need to be perfect. And breathe.
Edit - it went well! Less people than RSVP’ed but all very engaged and asking questions which means more than people who just show up and listen silently. I have A LOT of leftover sushi catering though, gonna be eating sushi for a few days.
Is it odd to see a fox roaming suburban streets? Was on a night walk and saw one in a neighbour’s front yard. Thought it was a cat at first but that was a big cat with a very bushy tail. I was startled.
Same here. Doing a bit of life admin, chores that require me to stand up and move around are staring me in the face but cbf.
Cheeses please
Had a lovely afternoon at the beach, soaking up the last of the warm weather.
