That’s the funny part.
The larger the area …
That doesn’t follow, like at all? No the larger your country the more helicopters you need just in time near the place where they are going to attack. And how many AH-64 were made since 40(?) years ago like 4000? The point of helicopters is questionable and niche in modern warfare.
helicopters can do …
They can’t be disposable remotely controlled cruise missiles disguised as a drone, nor can they be made by thousand a day, nor can they work as a retranslator for other helicopters, nor can they launch small disposable remotely controlled missiles. So they literally can’t do any of the mentioned things.
Shaheds are inefficient in how high tech they are for the purpose. Everything else they do just fine, you don’t hate the fpvs and aerial bombs as much as shaheds.

Great wall of text there m8.
Anyway, yes - helicopter can down shaheds, no - it can’t down them every 6 shots. Everything else assumes that m*scovites and iranians are regarded (they are but not in this), shaheds can do a lot of things including working as retranslators for other shaheds, working as a small mothership, working as an fpv. And unless your country is bigger than average
dickisrael helicopters would be even more ineffective. Yes they are extremely ineffective when talking raw numbers, but when used against static targets with limited air defence they work.

2·8 days agotldr; According to the last year leaks it costs around $75k first localized versions were around $50k. Shahed isn’t a low tech or cheap drone.

4·10 days agoI get it, you are talking about chinese/japanese/korean people. They need to control their diet as much as any other people. It’s not particularly healthy, unless you are rich.

4·10 days agoThere is no “traditional asian diet”, like there is no traditional african, or traditional european diet. There are dozens of different nations and hundreds of different people.

Dunno which asian cuisine is healthier (and compared to what), most aren’t all that healthy. Also Asia is like 1/3 of entire world population and like half of them isn’t even ‘asian’ in looks.
Not really? Like there are other ones with similar concepts, but not most.
Because christan faith is kind of a death cult, where living is actually bad part and the good part starts after death.

US empire is dying, but it’s not even close to instability that plagued rome for centuries. Part of roman empire ended due to many factors (including climate change) but they were pretty powerless by the end, where rich nations now aren’t and have resources to enforce their position. I’m not saying that they won’t feel the pressure and their living standards won’t suffer at least temporarily. Everything else is reversible or can be mitigated.

Showerthoughts@lemmy.world•If you took a box of Kleenex back to the medieval time period, they'd probably think that you're a witchEnglish
2·12 days agoIt depends on place & time & audience. Most places weren’t into witches thing and educated people would recognize it as a new material not something magical.
You would be considered a spy for appearing out of nowhere while not talking the language, probably.
We are going with both legs into ww3 and there is a chance that it will take us (as in humanity) into a mess for a decade or two, but rich nations wouldn’t desintegrate nor would they collapse due to climate change.
It depends on what kind of a martian colony we are going to get (probably we won’t get any) if it’s a vanity project of crazy billionaire it’s one thing, another thing if there is an actual need for such a colony.
Self-sufficient one? Probably not, but why wouldn’t they survive for long?
