True, but also meaningless. Even thinking most Americans have a coherent ideological position is giving them too much credit. Most Americans have no idea what their own ideologies represent, so asking them to consider the differences in others’ is pointless. Everything that’s not exactly what they believe is liberalism, leftism, socialism, communism, satanism, paganism, and every other ideology and religion all at the same time. They’re viruses- they don’t want to understand - only reproduce and destroy everything other.

13·2 days agoIt’s not wrong, but 2024 should have made it ABUNDANTLY clear that most people, at least in the US, are thick, ignorant morons who are ABSOLUTELY incapable of identifying, or even recognizing politically dangerous power grabs even when they are slapped directly in the face with them.
Job loss is just one of the issues, but it’s the ONLY one that MIGHT pierce their thick, cavernous skulls.

He’s not criminal or anything, but cowards who use precedent as an excuse to avoid responsibility get to go unremembered.
One is for emergencies, one is for exclusive use for the Executive Officer in Charge of Radishes.

Why would Picard bother when his ready room has his own private toilet?
The only change he needs is to have the aquarium INSIDE the bathroom for quiet reflection.
Problem is, people ARE talking about it…
…but where exactly would you expect to HEAR about people talking about it?

Of course, he probably doesn’t mean he APPROVES of it, but geese are notorious assholes.
