There’s a difference between using AI to help you code and pure vibe coding. The latter is how you end up with slop, but the former can absolutely speed up skilled developers.

Same is true across the board with AI use. It can easily be a force multiplier for people as long as you don’t turn off your brain and slop away.

While my comment was mostly snark, the main point is that unlike a dog, these folks have agency in their decisions and approach to situations. Is the underlying management strategy of DHS/ICE wrong? Absolutely, but you don’t get to “I’m just following orders” your way through this as an ICE agent.

iPhones have exactly this. It’s a voice assistant that asks why you’re calling and who you’re trying to reach. You then get a transcript of it and can read it live as it’s being recorded/transcribed.

I may be wrong, but those white markers aren’t actual bollards either. They’re still plastic tubes with reflective tape. I don’t think they’d stop a car from driving through.

Sounds like you had some shitty managers. That’s about as dumb as saying that all people interviewing are lazy people with no work ethics and just want to do nothing and get paid.

Based on this screenshot the candidate dodged a bullet because this particular manager/company sounds terrible.

Europe just loves to shit talk the US at every opportunity, yet consistently underfunds their share of NATO. This is a European conflict yet all European leaders do is talk. Of course their defense spending is woefully small, they just rely on the US military to secure their interests.

Don’t look to the US to lead everything and then also complain about the US leading everything.
