It is the configuration language of the Guix OS, a modern distro (very focused on computer freedom) , also by libraries and software like Gnucash, the GNU Debugger, a GUI toolkit for Gnome also, etc.
It is not a replacement of C, but can be used like Python.

Pip work outside venv, you need to add the -break-system-dependencies command option to pip though. However for this kind of utilities I did not encountered issues even when doing it like a savage (pdf2image was the latest one I installed like this. On Devuan (Debian 13/Trixie eqv). Note though: you really first need to check available libraries through apt/system installer first, because these have been packaged for a reason. Only use pip install -break-system-dependencies when all options have been spent.

What the hell this is so frustrating, basically this free and opensource software has been victim of an attack on their hosting provider !! It is not even the software that is attacked anymore. Does anyone remember which free software was attacked through social engineering (it took years for the attacker to become the confident of the maintainer) then the exploit discovered within a few hours by a random microsoft engineer that checked why the library was a few microsecond slower than usual ? Because now it looks like next level

I agree with the other comment about the lack of nerds in volume to sustain this activity by itself. However, if you base the business on another activity (lasertag, bar, escape game) with the same ambiance, you can “privatize” the space a few times a month to have a few bunch of geeks that will spend the 50$ to have a space with visuals and a good soundsystem for the night.
Be sure to write down a business plan which has 80% of revenue based on “mainstream” activities (yes, axe throwing is now more mainstream than rpg …)
