Plant echinacea. It’s hands-down the garden favorite of my local bumblebee population. It’s not native where I am, but the plant is medicinal, so it’s a welcome addition to my herb garden.
(Look at all those bees!)

I’ve had good success hand-pollinating corn. But a husk-less ear is definitely a new one.

Huge differences in response based on demographics. The article goes into it more in detail. For instance:
Among urban, suburban and rural residents alike, Republicans are consistently more likely than Democrats to want to live somewhere with houses that are larger and more spread out. For example: 84% of rural Republicans and 51% of rural Democrats prefer this. 55% of urban Republicans and 30% of urban Democrats say the same.

Reading the title, it’s obvious OP cucurbit off more than they could chew.

Never heard that one before

According to Wikipedia, Malta is the ninth most densely populated country in the world and it sees 3x its population in tourists every year.
No wonder it has the EU’s lowest birth rate–they’re already bursting at the seams.
True terror is realizing your high school class should be running the country, but for some reason their parents are still clinging to power.

We saw what happened when Internet platforms tried to be inclusive of differing viewpoints:
Nazis
Is it any surprise, then, that people started doubling-down on their echo chambers?

I’m really confused what this could be referring to.
Because the folks who’ve been around the longest and remember the early days of the Internet are currently in utter dismay over how their fun international sandbox has become a Black Mirror-esque horror show, while everyone else seems to just shrug and obediently upload their face scans so they can watch AI videos of uncanny-valley cats playing cruel pranks on facsimiles of political figures in-between unskippable ads for applying to be an ICE agent under promises that it’ll be like COD but in your own backyard with living, breathing brown people.

Happy Meal toys are usually franchise tie-ins with popular kids movies and other media, right? (I haven’t actually seen a Happy Meal since the turn of the millennium so idk).
Are there any series that show in-universe media? I feel like the closest thing is maybe that drug-game from STNG (s5e6).

Miss me with that cracker crust garbage

The Good Place. Highly recommended if you haven’t seen it.
Yet somehow manages to be among the smartest TV shows ever
This is really good! I really like the use of color and the painting style is pleasing. The subtle shades of the background blending into her top are especially well done.
If you’re looking for constructive criticism, the only two things that stood out were:
the earrings look to be different lengths (but I know earrings like that can appear asymmetrical in real life, so maybe it’s just an illusion of the angle)
I think the lower lip highlight is a touch too harsh and makes the lip look a bit flat and cartoonish; maybe needs a little smoothing, a thinner brush, or an additional “mid-light” layer?
But these were little nitpicks after staring at the image for a while. Overall, very nice piece!

How come Picard gets to wear his v2 uniform but not Sisko? (Also why’s his hair upside-down?)
I don’t care, I’m not giving up the em-dash in my own writing. Good luck reading half of my run-on sentences without it~~~
A roulette wheel of random instances is certainly a solution, but it’s not a great one, given that there are substantial differences between instances that could potentially impact a user’s fediverse experience, such as who they’re defederated from, whether they allow nsfw or downvotes, etc…

You and I have very different definitions of “mildly”
For Japanese cooking the resource I’ve been very happy with is https://www.justonecookbook.com/
But I’ll have to check yours out too!
I’ve had this happen before too; I assume it’s too prevent self-pollination, but is super frustrating. As far as keeping the pollen from blowing away, I read somewhere that the best time to hand-pollinate is around 10-11am, which has worked well for me (but I don’t live in an especially windy climate).
