Ok not sure how such a post got so many upvotes…
She has not really much to do with open source or at least that’s not verifiable anywhere:
Also she was active on Mastodon 3 days ago.
This person most likely is spontaneously disconnected from the net. Maybe the internet is down at her location because lightning fried the router, maybe she fell down the stairs and is in hospital, maybe she’s on vacation or - after having read through the about site - got some mental help, because not blocking and posting about people that send you creepy text messages to give them a wider platform is itself weird…
Who knows?
But starting a search on all social media will likely not bring them back either.
Maybe contact their family or other friends or visit them, I think that would be a lot more productive.

I’m the head mod of r/savemyrient. today, we got some amazing news from the myrient community backup discord server.
Long time no see. We’ve been kicking major ass in the background getting downloads completed and validated. We can now announce that the Myrient mirror is now 100% COMPLETE!! Total size is 385TB Work is now continuing on generating torrents and getting them available. Website will be back soon, had to get that ready for the next stage and it was easier to just take it offline to do that. More news to come!

Are you sure that the entire city didn’t sink?
Laughs in JVM (but there’s like 1 game using it so…)

Cool, cool.
Now tell me exactly HOW this will be done? Do I have to pay them $10 to do this?

So does Motorola…

How I imagine the decision:
Should we maybe port it to Fairphone? The phone most of our users probably like?
Nah let’s do Motorola instead - you know the company were you have to spin a dice to determine if your device can unlock the bootloader or not…

If you’re not living in USA-land you’re probably fine to simply change the battery every few years because you’ve got a photoelectric smoke detector.
Ionization based smoke detectors (that require changing because radioactive…) are more unsafe and usually only allowed in special cases in non third world countries like the EU.
Oh and you also can’t just throw them into the trash because you know radioactivity… except in USA-land…

Come out ye black and tans starts playing…

New chargers and cables = New freedom units to measure stuff with
The person who wrote this article has exactly ZERO idea about the current market situation and is probably working for userbenchmarks.
I just checked some CPU sales data from retailers here in EU and AMD has currently >90% market share.
So nobody really cares…
