Probably with their pie cutter.

Probably with their pie cutter.

Hmm. If they are going that route, I don’t really see anything that is pointing to that yet. It does have a very strong need to protect the little ones riding it, but I’m not sure where the climate change piece is coming from.

I think because there have been some studios or films that are pulled much more quickly for streaming platforms, so they are wanting to give it a minimum time to be in theaters rather than push it out.
At least that’s what I gather.

People aren’t reading the article apparently based on the questions about Wash.
The animated series would be set between the events of the 2002 series and the 2005 big-screen continuation, Serenity

They are really good at convincing their companies that if they stop marketing, everything will collapse.
I hate that I’m going to defend marketing here, but if they do stop marketing then things will collapse (for many businesses). Do I like marketing, personally? No. That’s why I got out of marketing and am becoming an elementary school teacher to help others rather than spit propaganda but I digress…
Marketing isn’t always about generating a sale. Many times its reach and brand recall. We’re a global and digital economy now, so reach is massively important for survival. Stopping marketing limits who is exposed to your brand and the repetition makes your company synonymous with a product.
Why do we call tissues Kleenex? Why do we call cotton swabs a Qtip? Why do we call small sticky notepads Post-Its? Why do we call searching “Googling”? Why do we gravitate toward those brands even when cheaper and more generic options exist that are perfectly on par?
Making those brands the prime thing you think of when you use a specific thing so that no one thinks of using something else even when they have money. You want people to mention your product or think about it even if they aren’t buying it.
You’re drowning out the potential of your competition. That’s marketing, and if you stop then your competitor takes over or a small business won’t grow.
Yeah, but the wampa never acted again, so I think justice was done. Their career is over.

My best guess is it’s pulling in Google Business listings. A business, or SEO, either didn’t harmonize the naming schemes for all locations or there are duplicate listings with varied naming conventions that are still out there that get displayed.

I think it’s the acronym for “not in my backyard”.
Basically residents that oppose things that are needed for the community, like certain infrastructure, because it affects their property values or changes their neighborhood but aren’t opposed to it elsewhere.

And if you draft all of your political enemies to be the bulk of your military force, you’re giving them the training and the weaponry/keys to everything that allows them to go ahead with a coup.
That’s a bold strategy. They’re kind of fucked in both scenarios.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker
“Somehow, Palpatine returned.”

I liked the episode a lot and agree with a lot of what you said.
I thought the creature infiltrating the vessel was weird that is never really got seen. It also felt slightly out of place like an episode of Alien or something.
That said, these little things are babies? I thought originally that they were some symbiotic creature relationship but now I’m wondering if they’re offspring.
The shots of the Titan in the ocean, especially juxtaposed to the whale, were stunning!

Is that because Noem murdered it?

And the two shows are connected in the same universe!

Yeah, seeing later seasons of B5 and going back to S1 would be jarring! The acting and set up would be weird after seeing all that comes after it and how they up the ante each season.

Weird. I’ve had Voyager since being on Lemmy and I think it always showed the total as default. I didn’t even know one could separate them. 🤣
I feel like it works exactly as it does if they were separated. More positive number is a positive reaction/comment and more negative gets others piling on.

Ah! Thank you for that context. I’ve never played a 4X style game before.
I might skip as my PC is currently running Win 10 and I am planning to move to Linux at some point. I use iOS for most everything else and hate mobile gaming.

Interesting. Is this sort of like a SimCity meets final fantasy type game or something?
It’s hard to tell what it is, exactly, from the trailer.
On that note, I’m surprised there isn’t some Monster Island type survival game created yet. Or like a Horizon style Monster Island game where one could explore a large open world and battle kaijus.
I love Statler and Waldorf!
