I recently set up a local instance of Invidious. All the devices on my network can use it and there are 0 ads. There are some free public instances, also.
Not as easy (or portable) as ad block, but I’m a fan.

10GB on Cloudflare for free and works with rclone. Good way to improve those protocols. ;)

Just finished setting up backups for my home network projects. Something I’d been putting off for a while. :D

Recently switched to Harry’s. I like the body wash. No complaints.

Surprised Pikachu face

Plot twist: Hosted by Stephen Colbert
It’s funny considering people are clearly paying for it.
And thanks for checking in. We need more kindness like that in the world :D

Same! Was planning on doing this today.
What do you plan to switch to? I’m currently thinking a combination of Claude and something else for images if it turns out I really need to pay for it.
Mind my asking what you do that requires the high tier Claude?
Edit: what you use it for, that is :x
Just curious, what made you change from Kagi?

One more reason to move to Linux. At least you can always pick another flavor in case one does this. Windows and Apple users likely won’t get much choice.
I can only imagine FreeBSD requiring something like this haha

IF we can, it won’t be easy and will take generations.

It’s actually pretty common for one person to take on the other’s last name.
My partner started out keeping hers, then took my last name after getting hassled over her name not matching our son’s in various situations.
This would make voting difficult for her.

AI summary:
Here’s a summary of the Chicago Tribune-reported story about Chicago’s snowplow naming contest from February 23, 2026 (based on multiple news sources covering the same event):
Chicago’s fourth annual “You Name a Snowplow” contest ended with “Abolish ICE” as the top-voted name chosen for one of the city’s snowplows. Voters submitted more than 13,000 names, and about 39,000 final votes were cast. The slogan “Abolish ICE” — a protest phrase used by critics of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement — became a political point of expression, partly in response to recent ICE enforcement actions in the Chicago area. Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson thanked residents for their creativity and civic pride and approved the name; his office said the choice reflected the clear preference of voters. Other winning names in the contest included humorous or pop-culture entries like “Stephen Coldbert,” “Pope Frio XIV,” “Blizzard of Oz,” “Svencoolie,” and “Caleb Chilliams.”

With great power comes great responsibility

I really like them both, but I liked the dark, evil look just a bit more. @thelsim@sh.itjust.works wins!
Same! Check out tab groups. It’s a game changer, if you want to organize all those open tabs a bit.
