If you were ever in such a situation, I’m sure your lawyer would present the fact that you always have a first aid kit with you to challenge it’s relevance. People who know you could be brought in to testify as such.

On the other hand, if you don’t generally carry a first aid kit but brought one to the protest alongside the other listed items, it does seem indicative of intent.

There was just a news story that Denmark was (among other activities) stocking up on blood supplies in Greenland. That’s not an unusual thing for a military to do, but it’s pretty obvious that they were preparing to fight US forces. That’s obviously not a crime, but the logical connections to intent are similar.

It’s not all Democrats though. Unfortunately the Democrats in charge are the absolute worst of the bunch.

There were 3 ICE officers involved in the shooting of Renee Good and Alex Pretti. All three served under Biden, and I believe under Obama as well. Every time an establishment Democrat frames the problem as one of “training” they are gaslighting. Hillary was just literally bragging that both Clinton and Obama did more deportations than Trump did in his first term. There has been zero pushback from the Democratic establishment on the idea that more deportations is better. That’s what I mean about Democrats making it look legitimate.

Third party strategies can never work in the US. Even if they could, it is far easier to take over an existing party, as a tough as that might be. There are a bunch of reasons this is the case that have been discussed into the ground elsewhere.

The good news on the Newsom front is that it seems extremely unlikely that he will be a serious contender - even with establishment backing. Democratic voters in general have finally started catching up with progressives on seeing the establishment for what it is.

Republicans are liberal fascists, and (establishment) Democrats are fascist liberals. The only domestic policy that would really be different if Schumer were President instead of Trump is that Schumer would make it look legit. Foreign policy would be better, except in regards to Israel. We desperately need to move away from the Schumer wing, and I think Newsom would be worse.

Democrats have been eroding away my “basic human rights” since at least when Clinton took office. Trump wouldn’t be nearly as bad as he is without systems put in place for him by Democrats. Obama greatly expanded executive power and mass surveillance. Obama and Clinton both wed the Democratic party to Wall Street which is the literal root of fascism. (Fascism binds economic and political power systems).

Again and again Democrats have backed the militarization of police and the expansion of the private prison system. (Credit to Biden for breaking the private prison trend, but don’t look for that from Newsom).

If Newsom is our next President, he will absolutely be followed by a Republican who will be even worse than Trump. I said the same about Biden in 2020, and look what happened.

The most important front for fighting fascism in America today is making damn sure the next Democratic nominee is nothing like Newsom. Id he wins the nomination, the war is lost. It really won’t matter if he wins or not.

Strategically, voting in the wrong Democrats is what enabled the Republicans to do all of that. The US was in decline long before this batch of Republicans, and the Clintons had a lot to do with it.

Gavin Newsom believes in nothing. I honestly don’t see any reason to believe he would govern any differently than Vance. He’s nothing but a political opportunist, and the opportunities he seems drawn to are all coming from the right. Having Vance in office would fire up progressive resistance. Newsom would drive progressives to despair.

Is it really? I think we’d be a hell of a lot better off today if Trump won in 2020 instead of 2024. I also think we’d be better off if George Bush Sr. beat Clinton in 1992. The wrong Democrat is far more damaging in the long term than any Republican.

It’s strange to me that this would be considered out of bounds. “Pickup artists” aside, this really ought to be more normal.

I have a theory that a lot of things are going to get more violent after the election. A Democratic Congress will greatly restrain the President, greatly reducing the disincentive to dispense street justice on ICE. On the off chance that Republicans manage to hold Congress by stealing the election, waiting on democracy will no longer be tenable, which means it’s game on.

Someone should put together a deck of cards and sell them. Kinda like what they had in Iraq.

What’s kind of funny though is I’ll bet Democrats are far more likely to already have a passport than Republicans. Conservatives aren’t generally the world savvy types. I don’t think the requirements bill will pass but, if it did, it would probably be another dummymander situation.

I think the bill is just a virtue signaling combined with trying to build on the illusion of insecure elections. The library thing is probably just another case of the right hand not knowing what the other right hand is doing.

This is pretty close to being the new standard etiquette, and I’m all for it.

It will be open season on ICE soon enough. Either Democrats take Congress and will run interference against Trump’s insane escalations, or the Republicans corrupt the election so badly that we all know that counting on democracy is pointless. Either way the game will change. I expect to see stories of ICE agents getting some street justice.
