Last year I made a box out styrofoam and grew chili’s in there. They became so spicy that we could barely eat them. The grow box was ugly and used a lot of space and I want to rebuild it in a way that looks better.

Indeed. 1.0 made it much better and actually competitive with the commercial programs. The topological naming issue is still there but not nearly as bad as before.

I’ve made some more complex designs as well such as as a CNC machine and a multi channel peristaltic pump with an attached planetary gearbox. Freecad itself was never the issue when designing these things.

FreeCAD is amazing. I’ll gladly take it’s issues over any modern software with the subscription, cloud or AI or similar bullshit.
