I should check out more Martyn Bennet, Gary West is always going on about him in Enjoy Your Piping. I was on some Big Country last night with the Sunday Post speculating Adamson was abused as a kid, and hence never came to terms with it. Both lost too early sadly. Corto Alto my other Scottish band I nudge people into listening to currently. Or Valtos. Or Hellripper. Plenty of variety in that!
That’s a busy week indeed! Not long til the holidays now, sounds like you need some R&R. What’s a sound bath then? I experienced an immersive shower once, lights, thunderstorm, hot/cold, varying jets - it was nice, like being in a tropical rain forest
There is so much Trek that I watch it all, so many great stories and characters. Currently watching Star Trek: Continues. A fan production, and it is actually great, easily matching the heights of TOS but more consistently even!
Heriot Watt Beer Festival the nicht. Hame noo, an some Star Trek ah reckun the now. Beer o the nicht wis the students’ Mambo No 5 - a fine dark lager
Hopin fer the wife tae come tae her senses an compromise this weekend, naebidy likes payin lawyers, an they rarely werk oan tik!

Scotland @lemmy.world•[Politics] Nicola Sturgeon's final speech to Holyrood
3·4 days agoWell, that was fucking brilliant. Holyrood will be much worse off without her. And Glasgow South may well be the finest constituency in the country. I went to FMs Qs when she was FM and had the privilege of seeing her there once, I should maybe see if Swinney matches this oratory powerhouse next month before the election

5·6 days agoGutted. Good riddance to this lot in May. It has been debated for 20 years. The risks do not outweigh the benefits!

Ghibli was before me, so I’m glad I’m getting to enjoy them with my pair. My eldest has already said Disney Princesses are for little kids, which is very mature for a seven year old!
Thanks, taking it easy sounds easy - but it rarely is!
Zootopia 2 is in the usual places you might find such things. That’s my plan this Sunday
Lucozade and vitamin tablets. I like mine dissolvable in the morning. I like the remembering mum, will give my Aunt a call I think

Having seen what the ORM hate leads to. Just use the ORM folks. Far better in the long to do so! Nothing has come close to ActiveRecord imo in Typescript or Python sadly. Unless anyone has a library or two I should check out?
