Hoo boy. My favorite FF. Considering how specific many of the design and aesthetic elements were, doing the game justice won’t be easy, requiring an amount of effort that I’m not confident will be honored. I’d love to be proven wrong, though.

The standards of ROE they hold fucking police officers to is absolutely fucked. They draw their weapons at the drop of a hat and fucking POINT a weapon at unarmed people all the fucking time. The second weapon safety rule is to NEVER point your weapon at anything you do not intend to shoot. IN A FUCKING WAR ZONE, a mfer could be cursing at you with a goddamn AK pointed at you and ROE say you still aren’t justified to engage. If a cop points a weapon directly at someone, that establishes intent by basic-ass weapons safety rules that these jackasses are supposed to be trained in. Charge all cops with attempted murder that point weapons at unarmed people. And I mean that unironically, pass a law and everything. They can’t keep getting away with escalating all these situations so fucking often that people feel the need to arm themselves and put on body armor just in case they run across a cop. And if these baby-bitch cops can’t be trusted with firearms, how about we take their fucking guns and arm minorities instead. At least minorities in America actually have a reason to fear for their lives enough to arm themselves.

Everything looks good to me. You should be pretty happy with the performance given what you’ll be using it for. It looks like your system bottleneck is your cpu, which is just something to keep in mind for potential upgrades if the performance gets to you enough and you have enough extra spending money to justify dropping another 400-500 for a new processor/aio. Not sure it’d really be worth it since it sounds like the most cpu intense thing you’ve mentioned is characterized as light usage anyway. The thing I’d be concerned about is thermals if it’s getting to those temps in the room you’d be using the desktop in during sustained graphic intense sessions at higher resolution. You might see about throwing in another fan or two in the case.
As for cooling the cpu, you should be fine with what you have considering it’s generally pretty thermally efficient. Just be sure to have a good thermal paste that’s actually spread well over the cpu before attaching the heat sink. Don’t just smush a random dab like I’ve seen way too many people do before. As for an AIO like the Liquid Freezer III(great choice, btw), I doubt it’d be necessary unless your cpu usage gets more intense than you anticipate. I’d keep an eye on the thermals as you go just to be sure things don’t get too out of control. I wouldn’t worry about the reliability of throwing an AIO in the system, they’re specifically made to be pretty maintenance-free outside of blasting dust out of the radiator every now and again. The biggest thing is good EVEN contact between the cpu and heat sink no matter what solution you end up with.
Very good bang for your buck on the video card, however, I’d be sure to have some kinda gpu holder in the case since it’s a long boi. At around 300mm, sag will definitely be an issue in the long run. GPU holders are real cheap anyway, unless you’re a trash panda like me who likes having the pretty lights hold up their oversized gpu.
So yeah, everything looks good, good/decent manufacturers where it counts, everything should play nice together, everything should bench well especially for their price point, and you’ve got good headroom for any upgrades you may want to add. Things I’ve suggested(if you haven’t considered them already): good thermal paste like Artic Silver 5(I’ve sworn by this for like 25 years), gpu holder, add like two case fans(one more up front, one below gpu). Ideally, you would want to add as many case fans as you can fit, so theoretically 6 more than what comes with the case, but I don’t know if you’d be able to get one or both of the top fans in depending on clearance with the cpu cooler. Just be sure the fan orientation makes air flow in from the bottom/front and out the back/top, the rear fan probably being the most important.
Anyway, sorry this is so long, hope this helps.

This really has some r/im14andthisisdeep energy. Also looks suspiciously like some gen AI bullshit.

I just don’t understand, are these politicians really that stupid? You do shit like this when the general public is more cognizant of distrust in government institutions, you start building factories for more Luigis. If your average normies are experiencing a noticeable and tangible decrease in standard of living, are personally and physically seeing more live protests, are constantly seeing a stream of authoritarian moves from the government, and you pile on this blatant miscarriage of justice seen from both major parties, where do you think people are gonna turn to for justice? And when you’re this public and blatant about it, who’s head is on the spike first, historically speaking? I really don’t think everyone is prepared for the consequences of continuing down this road, because participation in the consequences will likely be much more mandatory than they have been historically.
Ha! I have yet to play cyberpunk, but it’s definitely on my list. As for anarchism, I think my move to Linux recently has been more of a solidification of my radicalization that was seeded by my love for punk and strongly cultivated by my time in the Marine Corps. I think the general public would be shocked by how many of us become Communist/Anarchist/Socialist because of our time in the US military.
Okay, tbf, I’m using cachyos as opposed to raw dogging Arch from the start. I’ve also used some Linux distros in the distant past, though I can’t remember the few outside of one of the early Ubuntu releases. Also, I’ve done a good smattering of IT work and programming throughout my life, so while I’m already fine with jumping into something having no idea what’s going on, I already had enough experience to not be too worried about things.
Well, the DOJ has the ATF and DEA. Officially they’re only supposed to be domestic, but scoff what are a few federal and international laws gonna do?

Where I kinda agree that this will be bad for the world economy because of oil, I think he’s overestimating the current world dependence on oil. Alternatives are viable and are already increasingly being turned to. Even with the dumbshit policies of the trump admin, oil alternatives have saturated the market enough that oil isn’t able to compete anymore in some sectors, despite all the insane subsidies. While the elasticity of oil demand has been fading quietly for a few years now, I think quite a few people will be shocked by how much oil dominance has been eroded if/when oil prices skyrocket. All the more reason to push harder in the development of alternatives in every sector. I think this is another case of another oil rich boi openly living in cognitive dissonance as if the liquid gold will keep raking it in forever.

Jeez, so many things. The most influential 180 for me has been from being what others have called a “super Christian” to an atheist. This caused a few 180s for me: young earth creationist->evolution is a fact and the cornerstone of biology/big bang cosmology is probably the most correct Sex outside of marriage is bad->sluts are cool as fuck, actually Marriage is hierarchical->loving someone is a partnership and marriage is tax break for it The Bible is a revolutionary infallible divine guide->the Bible is an interesting, remarkably well-preserved text, a wildly inconsistent mythology, and with a weirdly cobbled mess of regressive morality even for it’s time Gay bad->ARM EVERYONE WHO IS LGBTQ
My political journey has been pretty wild, too. From a self-described “ultra-conservative” to Christian liberal to Christian “anti-patriot”(an aggressive political apathy because Jesus) to full communist(anarcho-syndicalist…ish) to Christian Socialism to Market Socialist to DemSoc to Libertarian Socialist to a kinda Cosmopolitan Anarchist/Socialist.
Another 180 for me that has strangely stayed independent of my religious and political views(mostly) is my views on feminism. I guess more specifically my views on what feminism is. I’ve always been a feminist deep down, but I had some pretty warped views on what feminism is, especially in my conservative days. The two things that always bothered me as a Christian about Christianity were slavery in the Bible and the treatment of women. The thing is, I really bought into the whole “feminism is when men bad and women rule world” bs for an embarrassingly long time. I may be a straight cis man, but even as a kid I thought the systemic unfair treatment of women was a real problem that urgently needed fixing, but feminism is just a pendulum swing to the other side. lol. Not only have I come to a better understanding of feminism with the goal of establishing equal rights for women, I’ve come to understand the role feminism plays for men’s liberation as well. Bell Hooks has really opened my eyes to the simplicity of feminism really being about our collective liberation from patriarchy. I truly appreciate feminism because I finally joined the movement in order to fight for the rights of others and instead of turning their nose at a perceived enemy, I was taught to fight for myself as well. I think it speaks volumes when a movement seeks to empower everyone that joins, despite the gargantuan disparity in the level of oppression they experience. I’m not a sideline cheerleader, I’m a fucking comrade. So I guess: feminism bad-> FUCK THE PATRIARCHY
Well, for one there’s the increased skin cancer risk.
Certainly feels like a doomer windows user to hopeful anarchist pipeline to me as well.

pls bro just $100 billion more and we’ll have agi srsly bro, gen ai can do it, bro just give us more data, bro, and we’ll get the singularly, promis gen ai will git gud soon, just listen, bro, pls
Went from Windows directly to Arch and I just became an anarchist and (I’d argue) more masculine. Guess it’s less about Trans and more about becoming more true to yourself.
Ah yes, the Department of War Crimes.

It’s interesting that they use the word responsible, since I would agree with one definition, but strongly disagree with another. Pretty apt analogy of this administration, a living logical fallacy and psychological phenomenon!

A truly bigly covfefe economy.

BUT LOOK AT ALL THE JOBS WE’VE CREATED FOR AI. YOU GUYS. THE AI. LOOK AT IT. HOLY SHIT, WE’VE THROWN SO MUCH MONEY AT IT, PLEASE LOOK.

That’s almost TWICE what I paid for a fucking RTX4090 last year.
Man, witnessing the whole country losing their minds at the time is so wild looking back on. Some weird cloud of security paranoia just kinda crept in and never left. No more kids running around wherever, no more shrugging about locking everything, cameras popping up everywhere, airports becoming completely unrecognizable, more invasive security, and conservatives suddenly becoming so much more trusting in the government increasing it’s surveillance power. Some real jackasses took advantage of us coming together as a country and grotesquely perverted our unification in shock. I mean, why waste a perfectly good opportunity to create a massive amount of passive wealth in government defense contracts in the long term, amirite?
