In Portuguese it’s spelled coronel and pronounced just like that, with the R in the middle. I can’t think of a single word where the L and R interchange. I can’t speak for other romance languages though.

3·3 months agoYeah, but the point here is that they were posing as women with female looking avatars. One guy even says that he would have reacted differently if it was male:
Another participant reported that he would have reacted differently had he been in the role of a man, but since he was embodying a female character, he chose instead to walk away.
I’m not American, can you say what those rights are?

3·5 months agoIf you complete a set you get xp and level up your profile. I sell the expensive cards I get from my games and buy the cheap ones to get a full set. I’m on level 52 and I never put any money on steam for any reason other than buying games. My profile looks cool because of this and I like it.
I had a hysterectomy. Kept the ovaries as to not start menopause. It was the best decision I have ever made in my life.
So technically I have my periods hormonally but don’t bleed or feel pain, so there’s that option if you don’t plan on ever having kids.
I see 10 cats, there might be more

I just wish I could find soy milk in the supermarket. I hate that we don’t prioritize our internal market first.

Linnce@lemmy.worldtoAsk Lemmy NSFW@lemmynsfw.com•How do you feel when you know a guy is staring at your tits?English
81·8 months agoI think it’s funny how guys think their sneak peeks go unnoticed lol.
The most I see from this type of behavior is when I’m walking down the street and a guy is just idling on his phone or something, and then, when I pass him, he thinks I can’t see him anymore and turns around to look at my butt. What he doesn’t realize is that I can still see him from my peripheral view. I don’t really mind that kind of stuff at all, it’s kind of a compliment in my opinion.
I’ve never had anyone blatantly stare at my boobs though, that would be very creepy if they intentionally wanted me to know they’re doing that.
Yes, there’s a button for it if you go to someone’s profile. I don’t think it works for the browser version though.
I posted on lemmy if anyone wanted to play games with me. Someone answered and we talk everyday since then, on most days we spend hours on video calls. Just try posting on whatever you use, you might find people you like.

Mechanical engineering. Whenever I see a big piece of tech — say car, plane or any industrial machinery/piping — I think of all the time and effort that went into creating each part of it, from drawing blueprints, modeling, checking national/international standards, choosing materials, running software for calculations, running through different people for approval, assembly, maintenance, etc.
It’s so much work and even more paperwork. I feel we take what we have for granted.
