I’m not sure about all Garmin watches, but most of them don’t have wifi. So in those cases their only way of getting data to Garmin servers is via syncing with the app.
Sorry i misunderstood what you were saying. I thought you were saying that if the password manager was compromised then the attackers would have only 1 minute to make use of the tokens before they change.

Its not a war until Trump announces the invasion to reporters while playing golf.
And he must finish the announcement with “Now watch this drive”.
As is tradition for invading middle eastern countries.
That is the protocol.
But if a password manager is compromised then doesn’t the attacker also get the TOTP key which is what generates the codes in the first place?
It wouldn’t matter if it expires in one minute because they’ll have the token to generate the next code, as well as now knowing the password.
You can also just use your Garmin watch on its own without any app. You can plug your Garmin watch into your PC and export your data into a self hosted fitness tracker like endurain for example.
considering Curve failed my ID check and refuse to reply to my emails trying to sort it out.
I had this exact problem with Curve on graphene back in September. Curve didn’t even ask for an ID and the app just kept saying my ID (the one it didn’t ask for) couldn’t be verified.
But a few weeks ago I tried Curve again, in exploit compatibility mode, and this time it worked. And NFC payments are working for me.
Might be worth trying it again after some time has passed?
if you ask them what was before they would stumble and not know how to answer
if linux aims for just legit users then forget ever having userbase from africa, south america. or any place generally poor.
Linux is a kernel that lets software talk to hardware. It doesn’t care about where it’s users are from or what their financial situation is.
This is not Linux’s problem.
Now try migrating all your docker containers to podman.
You got scammed? Oh no. How much money did Ubuntu take from you?

I’ve had problems like this on 6GHz wifi with my Intel AX201 card. Have you tried using 2.4/5GHz only to see if you have the same behaviour?

Or maybe people are mislead by (and putting to much trust in) the term “end-to-end encryption”
Sure its encrypted in transit between you and the person you’re exchanging messages with.
But that doesnt mean the Whatsapp app itself isnt scanning your chats on the phone.

Right now, using GrapheneOS and being outside of corporate attestation chains just means that you can’t use the NFC payment system.
FYI, I’m able to use NFC payments on Graphene OS using Curve Pay.

Isn’t that the whole point to Graphene OS?
I like my super secure OS being developed by super paranoid developers thank you very much.

Why do you need yet-another-separate app?
To keep your two factor codes and passwords separate in the event that your password manager is breached.
Also if you need a 2FA code to log into your password manager, how are you going to get it if its in the password manager that you can’t log into without the 2FA code inside it?

Why would oil tanker crews (which are more than likely made up of non-americans) care about “showing some guts” just so some American gas guzzlers can have cheaper fuel?

Not to mention all the fossil fuel used to build the ships in the first place.
There’s a lot of fossil fuel burned before that steel arrives at the shipyard.

A classic.
The thing about these missile defence systems is that, regardless of how advanced a system is, it can always be overcome by sheer volume of fire.
A common tactic is to saturate the sky with cheaper dummy missiles/drones that don’t even have warheads, just to deplete missile defence stockpiles and protect the real missiles/drones from being intercepted.
This is happening a lot in Ukraine too.
TLDR; You’re right to believe Iron Dome isn’t invincible because there’s no such thing as an invincible missile defence system.
