I think the only way to electrify trucks to a degree that it makes a difference is through legislation.
Electric trucks seem to me to have downsides that make them unprofitable compared to diesel, unless legislation shift the economy to favor electric.
The weight of the battery makes it so a truck can carry less, and it will inevitably have shorter range than a diesel truck.
So an electric truck can carry less weight for shorter distances, and it’s probably more expensive to make and buy because of the battery.
I think it will happen eventually, but I’m not aware that anything serious is done in EU to help it along.

I agree something must have happened, maybe the lack of Starlink for the Russians is a factor, maybe the war in Iran makes it so Russia doesn’t get as many drones or parts, or maybe it’s a result of the failing economy in Russia?
Last month, Ukraine took more territory back than what Russia gained. Which is remarkable IMO, because the Ukraine strategy is based on not pushing, but to defend to keep casualties as low as possible, while causing as much damage to Russia as possible.
Of course they are, they have no choice now. They chose to be the enemy of EU long before invading Ukraine. And now EU has had enough, and Russia has no choice because EU/Europe doesn’t want to deal with Russia anymore.
Russia could easily have been on friendly terms with both sides, and they could have been the biggest economy in Europe now if Putin had chosen cooperation instead of opposition and trying to undermine European countries from the beginning of his presidency.
Why would you learn a Western language, if the west doesn’t want to have anything to do with you?
But regarding learning Chinese, it is my understanding that it has been trending for years in my country (Denmark) too.

I already addressed that exact point, all tabloid newspapers have sensationalist stories to sell, but they also have stories that are legit to justify their existence.
You simply can’t with ANY paper say that an article is trustworthy or not before reading it and then verify it.
I CLEARLY stated already when the OP post was quite new, that the content of this article is legit, because I’d heard the same news from 2 other trustworthy sources.
Daily Mail is always bashed, no matter how relevant and correct the article is, and it’s tiresome IMO.

Maybe the article was a mistake by Daily Mail, because they didn’t consider the consequences of revealing that real estate prices in the middle east are plummeting due to the Iran war.
there are media that are 100% propaganda like RT, (Russia Today) Daily mail is not in that category of bad as far as I can tell.
We need to prevent propaganda from media like RT, and as a minimum point it out when relevant.
But to completely disregard a relevant article because the Daily Mail has a bad reputation is stupid. Because usually when articles from the Daily Mail are posted, they are pretty much in line with other media. So it seems to me those very bad articles, are rarely posted here.

Looking it up only confirms the point of the article, which I had already seen from 2 other sources previously, it’s gone up about 5% the last 3 days, but it was down 30% a couple of days ago.

that’s 3230 in 2 days, Russia has around 700.000 personnel in Ukraine, so 0,5% in just 2 days, would mean ALL current Russian forces would be gone in 200 days!
And this is at a time, where Russia is having a hard time recruiting new troops, because they are running out of money.
