    In Ecuador and Colombia, the people refer to this as a “falso positivo”

    Basically the governments here routinely bomb innocent people in drug areas, and then go on the news to say “we are working on the drug cartels”

    We know they bomb the wrong people, but the news usually doesn’t report that part of the story. And the plebs are happy with perceived “law and order”

    Fun fact: the Constitution of Ecuador (one of the most progressively in the world) doesn’t allow foreign troops in the country.

    So the EC president is literally violating the constitution by working with US troops to commit these crimes against humanity
