    Not to be confused with nazi propaganda images of polish cavalry charging tanks head on, which to some surprise of a lot of Polish people themselves did not happen. In most cases the tactic was to manouver rapidly, dismount and ambush or flank the enemy. Even they knew it’s past the tatchanka times.

      Yeah, interestingly, if memory serves, the Polish cavalry which made the attempt during the much-propagandized incident actually saw some success until they themselves were outflanked, as they were equipped with anti-tank rifles - much faster than some poor sod trying to lug one on foot.
