Good morning, fellow sobernauts, IWNDWYT, 😁!

We may be anonymous strangers on the internet, but we have one thing in common. We may be a world apart, but we’re here together!

Welcome to the 24 hour pledge! I’m pledging myself to not drinking today, and invite you to do the same. Maybe you’re new to c/stop drinking and have a hard time deciding what to do next. Maybe you’re like me and feel you need a daily commitment or maybe you’ve been sober for a long time and want to inspire others.

It doesn’t matter if you’re still hung over from a three day bender or been sober for years, if you just woke up or have already completed a sober day. For the next 24 hours, let’s not drink alcohol!

Feeling pretty good today after really wanting that drink yesterday but not having one and in the end realising I really didn’t need one.

I’ve been doing well with not drinking during weekdays and even though I had a bit of a bad couple of days a while back and had a drink Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, I feel like that’s behind me now.

I was watching a tv show yesterday where someone, who rarely drinks, was provided easy access to alcohol and indulged. It became a while thing with such a simple storyline, drinking because of general unhappiness and in the end it had such an easy fix. They just needed a third party to intervene.

Stay strong out there sobernauts, IWNDWYT!

Sounds like a win to me. 🏆

I started stopping and stopped stopping for several months until finally hitting a groove and staying stopped. With regular struggle. But I am liking how I am feeling in the morning a lot more. And not being a ridiculous conversationalist before bed.
