I was so happy to stumble onto this at the record store today, it didn’t even click that it was an alternate cover, and that this is a limited edition 10th anniversary copy. The main record is cream and there is a second record with demo versions which, it turns out, are also awesome.

This album has a shared sense memory with the video game Spiritfarer. I had just discovered Kishi Bashi when I was playing Spiritfarer, and, as is always the case when I’m hyper-fixating on a new discovery, I listened to this record over, and over, and over. It became the unofficial soundtrack of the game, and for those who don’t know, the game is amazing itself. I believe it is the first game that actually made me cry. Sonderlust is completely linked with that game in my mind.

I wonder, does anyone else has songs or albums that are strongly tied to other memories, activities, places?
