Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What are your favourite spice/herb combinations?
10·13 days agoCajun seasoning.
I start with this recipe, but sub in Himalayan pink salt instead of kosher, and sub the onion powder with a 1/2 tbsp of celery seed
Classic repair shop trick is baking soda and super glue, just tape around the nut so you don’t fuck up the fretboard, when it dries in like 15 minutes you can file it back down
Hey at least that’d be funny
I still think this one is AI, but either way the way this worded feels very patronizing. Just a completely hollow message. Should probably cross post to work reform or something.

I think pretty much everyone wants to feel useful and like they’re contributing to society. I also think the modem idea of a job is awful and oppressive, but I think that’s more of a problem with capitalism. If we had a better economic system, I think we’d have a better relationship with work. I know that if I didn’t have to worry about making money to survive, I wouldn’t be lazy and fuck off all the time, there’s so many projects I would do and help others with. I suspect that’s true for at least 99% of people.
But we live under capitalism right now and many people choose to accept that and try to be happy with wage slavery. “If you get a decent job that makes decent money, it’s not so bad.” But I think we’d be a lot healthier and happier if we rebuilt the system from the ground up.

Would all parties be okay with the situation if money wasn’t a factor? Moneyed society can add coercion to places that would otherwise be amoral.
(Yes, it would be amoral as in without moral consideration. As opposed to immoral or against morality)

2·2 months agoNot trying to antagonize. I don’t know that I agree with/understand the labels you’ve chosen. You clearly identify as a progressive, but that’s typically used by people who share the politics of Bernie. And if your ideal is star trek, that’s what many (maybe even most) actual socialists want. You put quotes around the other 3 labels but none of them would use that exact label for themselves, and the people who would agree the 2 labels to the right typically wouldn’t call Bernie a socialist.

101·2 months agoThere’s obviously a lot of animosity towards the Social Democrat mayor, but all I really see so far is speculation of his “true” allegiance. I don’t see him making moves to force an end to the strike like Biden did with the rail workers, just encouraging a quick resolution. I think this is fine so far, obviously don’t let him off the hook, but this isn’t the moment to give up hope.
